GLP Program FAQ
GLP-1 medications are a class of medications used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. Brand
Name medications like Ozempic, Rybelsus, Mounjaro and Wegovy are patented medications that have
become in demand for treating Type 2 diabetes and assisting people in losing weight.
Compounding is the creation of a specific medication or custom-made drug as prescribed by a
physician. In this case, we are referencing the GLP-1 medication ingredients identical to the
branded medication thru a 503(b) pharmacy that is licensed to do this.
503(b) pharmacies are federally regulated (similar to drug manufacturers). They are allowed to
produce and distribute medications to pharmacies for distribution with valid prescriptions.
Because these medications are not keeping up with demand, a 503(b) pharmacy can produce these
medications and distribute them to our mail order pharmacy.
Your prescription for one of the compounded medications must prescribe Semaglutide or
Tirezpatide not the name brand. IF there is a question from your doctor’s office, we can have
our pharmacy give them and call to clarify the prescription requirements.
If you do not have a relationship with a local physician, you can verify that you would be a
good candidate for these medications by taking our Qualifying
Questionnaire. Then you can order the medication with the telemedicine
program membership. If for whatever reason the doctor does not prescribe one of the medications,
we will completely refund your money.
Your medications will be shipped out of our mail order pharmacy in Greeneville SC. Your GLP1
medications will be cold shipped via 2-day shipping through UPS. We will notify you each step of
the way including the tracking number. We endeavor to ship your medication within 3 days of
receiving the prescription. If there is an issue in getting the prescription we may reach out to
you for assistance in getting it. If you use our telemedicine program they send the prescription
directly to us. Then we will reach out to you monthly to verify dosage and place the order.
